Jung Hwan Ahn was born on January 27, 1976 in Paju, Gyeonggi, South Korea. He is married to Lee Hye-Won.
Was invited to train with Blackburn Rovers on the 16th of January 2006 but failed to show up.
Scored the 'Golden Goal' in South Korea's 2-1 win over Italy in the second round of the 2002 World Cup which knocked Italy out of that tournament.
