Billy Armstrong was born on January 14, 1891 in Bristol, England. He was an actor and director, known for Up in Alf's Place (1919), Trouble Bubbles (1920) and The Bank (1915). He was married to Marion Parker. He died on March 1, 1924 in Sunland, California, USA.
British music hall comic, one-time member of Fred Karno's troupe. In the U.S. from the mid-1910's, joining Charlie Chaplin at Essanay. Subsequently with Mack Sennet at Keystone. Seen in early films alongside Oliver Hardy and Harry Langdon.
Died of tuberculosis at the age of 33.
