Clifford Evans was born on February 17, 1912 in Senghenydd, Caerphilly, Wales as Clifford George Evans. He was an actor and producer, known for Mutiny on the Elsinore (1937), 吸血鬼之吻 (1963) and Courageous Mr. Penn (1942). He was married to Hermione Hannen. He died on June 9, 1985 in Welshpool, Wales.
Educated at Llanelli County School and trained at RADA, receiving Northcliffe and Academy scholarships.Enjoyed a successful acting career for 54 years. He was an actor, writer and director. He was appointed Director of Productions by Cardiff City Council for the Festival of Britain in 1951 and in 1957 founded the St David's Theatre Trust to establish a National Theatre for Wales. He enjoyed playing chess.

He was a conscientious objector during World War II.
